Search engine indexing

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Does pix.bi support search engine indexing?

Yes, we support all the tags and mechanisms necessary for proper indexing.

What we support:

  1. Every website we create comes with its own /sitemap.xml and /robots.txt files

  2. We support all meta tags (title, description, open graph)

  3. We automatically add websites in the *.pix.bi subdomain to Google Search Console

  4. The sitemap (/sitemap.xml) includes all pages of your website, including the blog and portfolio, but we do not include galleries because they are private pages

  5. If your website is multilingual, all pages with language versions will be included in /sitemap.xml

  6. We automatically generate SSL certificates for your domains

  7. For custom domains, we automatically add a www subdomain with a redirect to the domain

Important: If you have your own domain, you must add it to Google Search Console yourself.

If you need your site to be indexed by any other search engine, please contact our support team at [email protected], and we will assist you.

How to add your own domain to Google Search Console

  1. Click the link to go to Google Search Console

  2. Add a Property: Click on the property dropdown in the top-left corner and select "+ Add property"

  3. Choose Domain Property: Choose the Domain box (left side) rather than URL prefix. This allows tracking all subdomains (e.g., m.example.com) and both http/https protocols.

  4. Enter Domain: Enter your root domain name (e.g., example.com), ensuring you do not include http:// or www. Click Continue.

  5. Verify Ownership (DNS):

    1. A pop-up will appear with a TXT record (a string of text). Copy this text.

    2. Log in to your domain registrar or web host (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Bluehost).

    3. Find the DNS Management or Zone Editor section.

    4. Add a new record: Select TXT for the type, enter @ (or leave blank, depending on the host) in the name/host field, and paste the code into the value/content field.

    5. Save the changes.

  6. Complete Verification: Go back to the Google Search Console tab and click Verify.

I can't find my website on Google

Websites aren't indexed immediately (indexing is the process by which a search engine scans your site); it usually takes 1–2 months.

The easiest way to check if your site has been indexed is to enter "site:yourname.pix.bi" in Google Search, replacing "yourname.pix.bi" with your website's URL.

If your website hasn't been indexed for a long time, please contact our support team at [email protected]
