How does a client download photos from the gallery?

Updated over 2 months ago

When you share a gallery with a client, they have three main options for downloading photos:

1. Individually (One by One)

To download files individually, the client must either click the "Download" icon on each photo directly in the gallery view or open the photo in full-screen viewing mode and click the download icon there.

Important Notes on Saving:

  • PC/Desktop: Photos are typically saved to the "Downloads" folder (this may vary based on your operating system).

  • Mobile: When you download photos one by one to your phone, they go straight to the gallery. When you download the entire folder, the photos are saved to the file system, and from there you need to save them to your gallery manually.

2. Selected Files

For convenience, the client can select the specific photos they need and click "Download Selected."

3. Download the Entire Gallery

To download all files at once, the client must:

  1. Enter their email address to receive a notification once the archive is created. A window titled "Archiving Gallery is in Progress" will appear on the screen.

  2. Once complete, a window titled "Archive is Ready to Download" will appear; the client should click Download.

  3. The files will download as a compressed folder to the "Downloads" folder (on a computer) or into the file system (on a phone).

Can the photographer download photos from the client gallery?

Yes, there are two ways:

  1. Via Client Link: Download the same way the client does—by using the client-facing gallery link (following the steps described above).

  2. Via Admin Panel: Download photos through the Administrative Panel by clicking the ellipsis icon (...) on the file (in the upper corner) and selecting "Download."

When downloading an individual photo, the resulting file is square and small. What should I do?

You have downloaded the low-resolution photo preview incorrectly.

This happens when you right-click on the image and select "Save Image As..." or "Save image to Downloads folder,"which saves the generated photo-preview intended for quick viewing, not the full-resolution file. You must use the dedicated download icon provided by the service.
