Privacy Policy: How to Create One Using the Blog Module
A Privacy Policy is a required document for most websites, especially if you collect visitor data (forms, analytics, cookies). Laws such as GDPR and CCPA require this information to be available to users.
Please note: pixbi currently does not have a built-in policy generator, nor an option to create a standalone page for your policy. You can only publish it as a blog article — the method described below.
Step 1. Generate the policy text
If you don't already have a ready-made text, use one of the free online generators. They ask a few questions about your website and automatically produce a complete document:
Termly: One of the most popular generators, with support for GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations.
FreePrivacyPolicy: A simple free generator with a step-by-step wizard.
PrivacyPolicies.com: A flexible tool that lets you specify the exact services you use.
GetTerms: Quickly creates a basic privacy policy and other legal documents.
WebsitePolicies: A convenient wizard with multi-language support.
Fill in the details about your website, generate the document, and copy the resulting text.
Step 2. Create a blog article
Go to the Blog module on your website.
Create a new article and paste the generated policy text into it.
Give the article a clear title, for example "Privacy Policy."
Publish the article.
Step 3. Add a link in the site footer
To display the link to your policy in the footer of your site, add it via Website — Contacts:
Open the Website — Contacts section.
Add a link to your published privacy policy article.
Save your changes — the link will appear in the site footer and will be available to visitors on every page.
Done! Your Privacy Policy is now published as a blog article and accessible from the site footer.
